How to Really Make Money Online

A little while ago I started looking for ways in which I could make an extra buck from my online work. In the beginning, I didn’t even know where to start… so I started doing what all sane people would do — intensive googling. It took me a few weeks before I collected some viable ways in which to actually make some dollars online. I will teach you those ways — the real ways — in which you can build some semi-passive income. Heads up! It will take work and perseverance, but you will actually be able to really make some bucks online. No scams and fakes, only real ways.

1. Remotasks

Remotasks is an online site where you do different tasks for money (if the name didn’t already imply so). There you have various projects that you can work on, from image annotations to text annotations, Lidar identification, and many others. I will leave you a link at the end so you can get a 10$ bonus when you earn 10$ for the first time!

Using this site you can make a few bucks a week, by actively working on the projects they give you. However, don’t expect a steady income. For example, I had one week in which I made 150$ and another in which I made 2$. This depends on the priority and difficulty of the project, also on how many tasks are available, and how hard you work on them.

It’s also important to know that, for each project, you need to do a tutorial first that teaches you how to do certain tasks. However, even after you finish that tutorial, you may sometimes not get tasks (because all the tasks were done). But this doesn’t mean that doing that tutorial is useless. If in the future they will get new tasks, you will be able to complete the tasks without needing to retake that tutorial again. So the more tutorials you do, the more tasks you will have.

I haven’t worked at all in the past month, that is why the pay is so little. But on the right side, you can see all the projects I have worked on on the right side. Those percentages are the accuracy I have on that project.

If you want to join, do so using this link and we will both get 10 $ when you get your first 10$. It’s a win-win situation! Other than that, happy tasking!

2. Freelancing

Having a skill or a few skills that you can also practice online is extremely useful. There are multiple sites where you can sell your skills online, like Fiverr, Upwork, Freelancer.com, and others.

Some of the best skills you can sell online are revolving around Software development and video editing. In particular video editing is very well paid and sought after. So, if you need to learn a skill from scratch, I really recommend video editing. Otherwise, you can sell your coding skills in multiple possible languages, or even your writing (for example technical writing, if you have the knowledge).

There are many other gigs you can try, depending on your skills. If you are like me and don’t want to be tied or stuck to any company for making enough money to live, then you will enjoy freelancing.

3. Writing on paid platforms

I mean, this is obvious at least for active medium writers that have over 100 followers. Write whatever you care about and you can make some money with your writing. But it isn’t as easy as it seems. It requires consistency, effort, and perseverance to make it to this industry. You have a very big competition, so if you don’t find a way in which to differentiate yourself, or find a niche area in which you excel, you most likely won’t make it as a freelance writer.

I also recommend writing your articles on Medium first, and then on other platforms. This is mainly because you can spread your article on other platforms with ease and without going against the website rules by doing this. Medium gives full rights to you, as a writer. But to be successful with Medium, you need to learn How to increase claps and reads on Medium.

For example, the things I have knowledge of and love writing about are Machine Learning, Data Science, Statistics, Fitness, and Self Improvement. You need to love what you write about or you won’t have the power to push through on the days you don’t feel like doing anything. Follow the advice of good lad Steve Jobs.

“You’ve got to find what you love. And that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do.” — Steve Jobs

Conclusion

Those are my thoughts on making money online, as all 3 ways made money for me when I was in need. You can do this too if you work and persevere in what you do.

And, if you have other ways in which you believe you can make money online (realistic, not clickbait), I would be more than happy to find out. Put that in the comments and I will be sure to try it!
